A member of the Quebec Bar since 2015, Gabrielle Martineau-Desautels has practised family and youth protection law since the beginning of her professional journey.
During her career, she has served as a mentor for junior lawyers, supervising their strategies and proceedings. As a much appreciated resource for younger lawyers, she has also trained nearly a dozen articling law students. Ms. Martineau-Desautels has represented clients before the Court of Quebec and Superior Court. In addition, she has drafted legal opinions and proceedings for applications and briefs to the Court of Appeal.
At Laval University, she trained in international humanitarian and penal law and obtained a master’s degree in International and Transnational Law.
Ms. Martineau-Desautels is very devoted to what she does and is constantly driven by a willingness to help others. In fact, for the past 20 years or so, she has volunteered with various associations, including Opération enfant-soleil, Telethon of Stars, Héma-Québec and Red Cross Belgium, among others.
